How to download and play Japanese Games on Android?
Guide to install the games in my Non-English Android MMORPG video.

5. Utopia:
EDIT: This Game is in English now, called Dawn of the Immortals. Play the English Version instead.

4. Ark Sphere:
Was not region-locked for me.
Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weme.arksphere
Play.

3, 2, 1. Aurcus Online, Izanagi Online, Stellacept Online

NEW METHOD #1: Install QooApp and search for Asobimo and you can easily download Aurcus Online and Stellacept.
EASIEST WAY: http://apk.qoo-app.com/
This lets you download any Chinese, Japanese, or Korean game.

Method #2

Requires a VPN to work. If you download the apk for games online, you may still get the error: "this item is not available in your country" when you try to play it.

Step 1: Download an Android VPN.

I used Fast Secure VPN (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lausny.ocvpnaiofree) but it only lets you use it for free for 1 week, then you have to pay or do offers to get points to trade for VIP.
*Note: You only need a VPN to install the game. After you install the game, you don't need the VPN anymore to play it.

You can download any VPN you want, however, I also tried "TunnelBear" and "VPN One click" and they didn't work.

Step 2: Connect to a Japanese server on your VPN.

Step 3: Go to your options where you uninstall apps.
Find "Google Play Store" and press "Force close" and "Clear Data"

Step 4: Open Google Play on your device.
If you see Japanese text in the Play Store, then your VPN works. You are now in the Japanese Play store and you can download any Japanese game you want.

Searching for games is the more tricky part...
(If you downloaded the apk elsewhere, you can run and update the game with the VPN on)

Step 5: Find the Game you want.
I recommend searching for "Asobimo" and choosing the picture that matches the game you want (Aurcus, Izanagi, or Stellacept). Look at the google play pages in my video description to see what their icons look like.

Step 6: Download and install the game.
(Note Izanagi Online is 2+ gb in file size and doesn't work on rooted devices.)

Step 7: Play the Game.
I'm not sure if you need the VPN on for your first run but after installing, you should be able to play the game now without the VPN so you can turn the VPN off.
You don't need the VPN to play the game after you installed it.

Have fun.

  9. I'm having trouble with both Stellacept and Izanagi :( Stellacept simply opens and immediately crashes to my main screen. Izanagi opens and give me this error "It is not a normal device, you will not be able to have you use." Please help me, these are the most interesting MMOs I've seen for android since I found O&C almost 3 years ago!

    1. Not sure about Stellacept, did you use the same VPN I used?
And I think Izanagi doesn't work on rooted deviced.

    2. I used crossvpn, as for Izanagi that sucks I was more interested in it than stellacept but my device is rooted and one game isn't worth changing that no matter how interesting it looks :(

    3. I found a fix for my problem and thought I'd post it here for other rooted players. This allows both Stellacept and Izanagi to run on a rooted device by HIDING root from the application/game in question.

You need to download this framework(please read the warning and directions as it can brick your device just as rooting can): http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer

And this module(once again, directions and warnings please): http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.devadvance.rootcloak
